Yep, perhaps someone’s excited about the new deal they made today — for a platinum/gold stream in Brazil that should come online in 18 months or so. Haven’t looked at the details yet personally, but the stock has certainly done well of late in the “QE3 chatter” environment.
Might be an idea to look at the SND component of the deal.

SSL insiders hold good size positions in SND. Nolan recently sold some SSL and added to his SND holdings.
Just a thought …
Yep, investors clearly liked it for Sandstorm Metals, too — SND is getting the palladium portion, SSL/SAND is getting the platinum and a wee bit of gold.
