$BKTPF – Cruz Cobalt Corp. Significantly Increases Land Holdings in the Cobalt Region of Ontario
Cruz Cobalt Corp. (CUZ—TSXv, BKTPF—OTCBB, A2DMG8–FSE) is pleased to announce that the company has increased its acreage in the Cobalt District of Ontario. The new acreage is contiguous to the “Lorraine Cobalt Prospect” and now consists of 10,556 contiguous acres bordering First Cobalt Corp. (FCC-TSX.v) in the direct vicinity of the town of Cobalt, Ontario.
Cruz President, James Nelson, stated, “We are pleased to further expand our acreage in the historic cobalt camp in Ontario. Cruz is one of the single largest landholders behind First Cobalt Corp (FCC-TSX.v) with 5 separate cobalt prospects in the region. We feel that consolidation of the cobalt camps globally is inevitable and we are positioning Cruz to be a significant participant in the emerging Ontario Cobalt District. We plan to be very active in Ontario in 2018. The price per pound of cobalt has again made a new 10-year high this week, and cobalt has never been more in focus as the world is moving towards full scale electric car adoption. The demand for battery metals appears to be at the start of long term super cycle and Cruz is positioning itself early for this cycle.”
Recently (January 22, 2018) Cruz increased its acreage on the “Purcell Cobalt Prospect” from 671 acres to 11,821 acres, consolidating the previous two separate Purcell prospects into one much larger contiguous prospect. Also on January 16, 2018 Cruz increased its landholdings surrounding the War Eagle cobalt prospect in BC. Cruz now has a 100% interest in 15,219 acres on the War Eagle cobalt prospect. Cruz also just recently completed an airborne survey over the War Eagle and Purcell cobalt prospects in BC and uncovered strong magnetic anomalies (announced January 19, 2018). Management is now working diligently on advancing these two BC cobalt prospects.
Cruz currently has nine cobalt projects located throughout North America, comprising of five in Ontario, two in British Columbia, one in Idaho and one in Montana. Cruz’s five separate Ontario cobalt prospects are all located in the vicinity of the town of Cobalt making Cruz one of the largest landholders in this emerging cobalt district. Cruz’s Ontario projects include the 1,265 acre Coleman cobalt prospect, the 900 acre Johnson cobalt prospect, the 4,980 acre Hector cobalt prospect, the 1,580 acre Bucke cobalt prospect and now the 10,556 Lorraine cobalt prospect. The company’s BC prospects include the 15,219 acre War Eagle cobalt prospect and the 11,821 acre Purcell prospect. Cruz’s USA projects include the 1,940 acre Chicken Hawk prospect in Montana and the 880 acre Idaho Star prospect.
The technical contents of this release were approved by Greg Thomson, PGeo, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

$VXR.asx – “Right metals, right time” for Venturex, says Canaccord
9th February 2018 Resources Rising Stars
Base metals developer Venturex Resources (ASX: VXR) has attracted a Speculative Buy recommendation and eye-catching 4c-a-share price target in an initiation note from global broking firm Canaccord Genuity.
According to the group’s Perth-based resource analyst Tim McCormack, Venturex stands out in the landscape of development-ready Australian base metals projects because of the advanced nature of its Sulphur Springs project in WA’s Pilbara.
“Despite depressed metal prices and limited access to capital over the past few years, VXR has done a good job of maintaining progress on the project, which in our view should be at a financing decision in 2H 2018,” McCormack says.
“With both zinc and copper prices maintaining positive momentum in 2018, we believe the timing is ideal to be bringing a project of this nature on line.
“We expect VXR’s ‘under-the-radar’ Sulphur Springs project to garner increased market attention as it delivers a number of project-defining catalysts in the short term and moves towards a development decision later this year.”
Canaccord says Venturex’s most recent exploration efforts in 2017 were focused on increasing confidence in the higher grade inferred copper resource (800,000t at 4.2% copper and 0.8% zinc) at Sulphur Springs were successful, confirming the continuity of the high-grade copper mineralisation and discovering a new high-grade zinc-rich zone.
“During the next six months, we expect VXR to provide a number of key updates that should underpin a development decision on its Sulphur Springs Project in 2H18.
“Catalysts we are looking for include an updated Resource on the back of the 2017 drilling, metallurgical test work outcomes and an updated Feasibility Study.”
The broker assumes a production profile based on the Company’s Value Engineering Study released in February 2017, based on average production of ~30ktpa zinc and ~12ktpa copper for 12 years.
The 4c-a-share valuation is based on a discounted cash-flow analysis, plus nominal exploration value, diluted for a future equity raising of $80 million as part of an assumed 60/40 debt/equity project financing.
“We note that the project has exceptional leverage to higher metal prices, and even at spot prices the Net Present Value for Sulphur Springs increases to $283 million, or a target price of 5c-a-share,” Canaccord says.
A full copy of the new Canaccord Genuity research note on Venturex is available on the Company’s website at http://www.venturexresources.com.au.

A little Government help with market barriers for energy storage… https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-electricity-storage/u-s-regulator-moves-to-clear-market-barriers-for-energy-storage-technology-idUSKCN1FZ2H2 ….Cowboy
Of course! Of course their would be barrier set up for batteries! Whoda think it?
I never knew or heard of such a thing, but it doesn’t surprise me at all.
In government parlance, this means that it has been decided who will be successful in their endeavors to store power. We need to watch more closely at those companies now.
I was surprised myself to see that edski. Got to find our winners
This answer why I haven’t seen much about electrical storage. The regulation were probably written in the day of Edison to protect all the fledgling power companies. Now I’ve got a dream. I want to cover all the sunny USA (make that western hemisphere super market shopping mall parking lots with solar cells and VRBs. All I have to do is one, and then all the competition will have to have, so their customers will have cool cars and be out of the rain. ;-]
Cow3boy you are on a run with all this info. Is the insurance going to pay for rehab.
They will pay for 12 visits I believe Griffin. I do have supplemental accident insurance that will cover the rest, for the most part, thank goodness. Because of my work trade, this field interests me a lot. I learn something everyday about whats coming to my field of work very soon ! I hope we all can profit from it. I’m just glad I can contribute what I can for all of us here. It’s the best website I have ever run across….Cowboy
I signed up for cardio rehab with out thinking about payment, I was more interested in what condition my couch potato body was in. I don’t have supplemental insurance and Medicare doesn’t cover. I was able to determine that I wasn’t in as bad of shape as I thought.
Heh,,,,funny, that!
That is funny right there !

Well there you go! Kinda like Co-Oping their need to secure Cobalt. Another twist and just more for HN to consider, as his mind starts to smoke from thinking of the possibilities.

There will be more improvements in batteries, in cost, safety and energy density as well as less energy loss. Perhaps old ideas will work with new technology that did not succeed before.
Nice find Arch. Things are changing daily it seems. Hope we can keep up investment wise as things change….Cowboy
Cowboy Thank you. I just think caution is needed. At present Vanadium flow batteries have sales and first to the feed trough often gets fat. Best not to bet the farm on that quite yet. Good to always watch competition.
Jumped into the vanadium space, call me crazy spec gambler, maybe? Do do DD but limited in regards to most here, gut instinct yes but no simply pick out of a hat.

While looking for the link on the VRB web site, which has loads of info, I found an acknowledgement that the problem with VRB s’ is the cost of electrolyte. The keynote speaker is Dr. Vincent L Sprenkle, Chief Engineer – Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion – Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). PNNL has developed an electrolyte with 70% more capacity. I couldn’t find reference to VRBs’ electrolyte capacity.
