A private company to keep an eye on; Ionic Materials. Most lithium-ion batteries today use a flammable liquid electrolyte. This company has developed a solid state polymer electrolyte that is much safer and more efficient.
http://ionicmaterials.com/about-us/
Sorry, I forgot to mention that BioSolar is working on is a Polymer replacement for the anode and cathode which is where the cobalt is used. That would not require as much development as a replacement electrolyte. BioSolar does have something close but their SP has not jumped since announced.
Bill Joy co-founder of Sun Microsystems is an investor in Ionic Materials. Here is an interesting interview with him on the potential of this polymer that he calls an ‘ionyl’.

Interesting mentioned in the article is that the reason for the number Lithium battery factories being built is that insurance for Lithium battery shipments can’t be found.

Yo Cowboy! Good find on this stock. Unfortunately I don’t have any money for another miner drilling a prospect…even an apparent good one. I’m pretty much tapped out altogether.
I am searching nickel plays now, for future purchases. I see that as being the next hot (hotter!) item in many different types of batteries. I want to stay out of Russia, think Norilsk, and looking to find some dough for a producer.
Good to see you posting again. Hope that your leg is back to normal.
CCCCF has been good for me so far edski. I still check in, or try daily just to try and keep up with everything here. And I’m with ya on the tapped out money supply and the nickel theory. Been busier than a one legged man at a rearend kickin contest. My leg is great so far…just workin too much at work, then home for hay work, Grand kids and the garden. Life’s good Brother !….Cowboy
