$FYI – The battery decade: How energy storage could revolutionize industries in the next 10 years

“UBS estimates that over the next decade energy storage costs will fall between 66% and 80%, and that the market will grow to as much as $426 billion worldwide. Along the way entire ecosystems will grow and develop to support a new age of battery-powered electricity, and the effects will be felt throughout society.”

$FYI – Declining Renewable Costs Drive Focus on Energy Storage

“NREL’s Renewable Electricity Futures Study estimated that 120 gigawatts of storage would be needed across the continental United States by 2050, when the scenario imagined a future where 80% of electricity will come from renewable resources. The country currently has 22 gigawatts of storage from pumped hydropower, and another gigawatt in batteries.”

$FYI – Warren Buffett Is Making a Big Bet on Solar Power

“The so-called Gemini project, which will generate power for NV Energy companies but will be developed by third parties, will be 25 miles from Las Vegas. That project and two others will create 1.19 gigawatts of new power for NV, enough to provide electricity to 230,000 homes. The projects also come with 590 megawatts of battery storage, meaning the power generated by solar panels can be stored for times when the sun isn’t shining. ”

Griffin and Cowboy! Long lost edski here, grateful to see that you are still at it, posting all those great links. Congratulations on being stubborn and keeping up with your efforts, even though no-one seems to be chipping in.

One day……hopefully soon….they will be reading what you have been posting and wondering, like dunnydane, (hi dunnydane! welcome) where they have been and missed those keeping an eye on EV’s and their components, and overall battery capabilities on and off the grid.

Very sorry for not keeping up with the posts myself. Life happens. But I wish you all great health for the New Year, and offer a sincere THANK YOU for your work .

edski, as long as you haven’t forgotten us your forgiven. 😉 This is developing and growing market so it is interesting to follow, Several of my sources have gotten a little flakey over the holidays I hope they return. Google News seems notice my selections (AI) and has been posting more renewables to my page and there are occasional articles Yahoo that have a little different perspective than my usual sources which is good. I’m still looking for an awesome investment in renewables and it is just not there yet. I do have several holdings in my portfolio $EVSI Envision Solar they build a standalone EV charger and seem to be having some success. I got in too early though I had a healthy share count till did a 50:1 reverse and up listed to NASDAQ. Had to scramble to get my share count back up. I’m still down, more I would like to be, there was mention on Yahoo a few days ago that Hedge Funds were bullish on them that bumped the SP and it has held so I will continue to hold. I’m also in $RGSE Real Goods Solar they have been in business since 1978 and in direct competition with Tesla for solar shingles with a more efficient shingle. They have just increased their funds with a preferred share sale (10 mil) mean time Tesla is in a hold on shingles. I do have one other MGX Minerals spin off $MGXRF Renewables its not quite as down as far as MGX. That is a summary of my renewables all down. The good news is that the analyst say Jr miners and renewables will be up this year.

btw the most notable companies in renewables are Berkshire Hathaway and Shell bought Sonen so that might be affordable.

I’ve been getting a lot email notifications of the company filing Form 4ks. I looked at this stock a few years back and it was about $50 sp. I looked at it again the sp is $100+, they must be doing something right, I wonder how far it can go.
