2017 was a year of tremendous accomplishment for Clean Teq Holdings in every respect.
We saw remarkable achievements in mine construction, in finance, and in market development, with landmark contracts in every business segment;
We saw a complex business appear as if by magic, including business offices on four continents, and the launch of business website in the water division;
We were informed of superb existing and newly-formed strategic partnerships,
with the likes of Airbus, Peng-Xin Mining, Chinese state and power entities, Chinalco, and Multotec;
We were witness to a major off-take agreement with a leading battery manufacture;
We learned of an astute acquisition of a controlling interest in a VRB business by Mr. Friedland;
We learned of deep and valuable research and development support at prestigious universities and manufacturers;
and we became sure of unseen low-cost manufacturing contacts and alliances.
And oh-by-the-way, we got a listing on the TSX.
The company inspires confidence and optimism. Robert Friedland has a deep long-term strategy, and he knows what he is doing.
I am not sure what is more impressive: His strategic vision, or his managerial talent in executing it.
Clean Teq is a company that is worth following. It is by far my largest position.
There are a lot of companies with good concepts. But Clean Teq has a deep and brilliant strategic concept which is at the heart of major world trends; a revolutionary technology; and a management that executes flawlessly.
**
GOING FORWARD: SUITABLE TOPICS FOR THIS THREAD
1. CLEAN TEQ HOLDINGS, CLEAN TEQ WATER, and their interests, or related companies.
2. Miners and producers of COBALT, VANADIUM, SCANDIUM; also nickel, zinc, graphite, lithium, rare earths, silica, and manganese.
3. WATER PURIFICATION, especially when tied into mineral extraction therefrom.
4. “TECHNO MINERS” and other innovators in mining and material extraction
See notes below on thread and topic overlaps, which are unavoidable.
**
One year ago this week, I wrote an article on Clean Teq Holdings. It was a speculative company, but
one with a visionary and proven leader, dramatic potential in specific, attractive commodities,
innovative methods and IP for mineral extraction, and big ambitions in water purification.
Clean Teq Holdings defied easy categorization, and continues to do so.
One year later, Clean Teq has not disappointed. Clean Teq has exceeded all reasonable expectations.
**
If you need background on Clean Teq, I refer you to the predecessor of this thread: “Scandium, Cobalt,
and Water Purification: Clean Teq Holdings”, where you will also find the guidelines and rules for this
thread; and to the Clean Teq and Clean Teq Water websites, which warrant close examination.
OUR BIAS AND BASIC VIEW
This thread is for those who believe in the coming EV wave, light weighting of transport, and most importantly,
in the importance of energy storage and batteries of all scales;
and also, it is for those who believe that the disruptions caused thereby will be rapid.
Because of this opinion, it follows that the existing viable battery technologies and the materials needed
for them are important. We anticipate rapid change; we subscribe to the Tony Seba “Disruption Scenario”,
that suggests disruptiv changes are occuring faster.
If you disagree with the Disruption Scenario, or the eventual proliferation of EVs,
that is fine; but please do not debate it on this thread. The thread is for those who believe in the future of battery power,
and in the immediate opporunities in commodities related to batteries and energy storage.
We will be able to see in shortly whether we are right or wrong in this belief.
If it takes longer than we think, we will complain about ”being early.”
My perspective is for the next five years. That is “long term”. This is not a trading thread.
Occasionally short-term opportunities are appropriate to call out,
but short-term trading is not the emphasis here.
On the other hand should restrain ourselves from too much attention
to developments and materials for technologies that are likely to take longer than five years to have an impact.
We are looking for investable ideas, not 10 year forecasts on the Future of Civilization.
So let’s keep it down on hydrogen fuel cells and molten salt batteries for a couple of months.
**
NOTES ON THREAD AND TOPIC OVERLAPS
Our assumption is that Li-NCM, VRB’s, and zinc batteries are going to be the main battery formats purchased,
installed or contracted for in the near-term, hence the commodities needed for them are of interest.
New battery technologies are better discussed on the #batteries thread ,
unless they involve a vertical commodity/battery producer.
We are interested in what is going to have an impact in five years.
For example, if you are convinced that Google is about to conquer the world with a molten salt battery,
then come on over here and recommend Morton Salt as a buy-out candidate.
But debate whether molten salt batteries have a future, and when, on the #batteries thread.
News that shows increasing penetration on solar are relevant,
as they confirm the importance of large-scale energy storage.
But we would like to know who is getting the contracts and what type of battery they are using.
There is going to be some unavoidable overlap. Nickel and manganese sources are swing metals,
sometimes they may be better discussed on the Hard Asset thread as base metals.
If you make a post on the wrong thread, don’t worry too much, there are
no fines or jail time. I do it myself all the time and I understand it can be confusing.
You can also use Travis’ new cross-reference gizmo.

Yes toes are green from listerine but amazing to see the problem begin to clear.

$CLQ $CTEQF > Clean TeQ Sunrise Project – Modification 6 Approval
Melbourne, Australia – Mr Sam Riggall, CEO of Clean TeQ Holdings Limited (Clean TeQ or the
Company) (ASX/TSX:CLQ; CTEQF:OTCQX) is pleased to advise that the New South Wales
Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) has formally approved Modification 6 to the
Development Consent for the Clean TeQ Sunrise Project (Project). The approval is an important
milestone as planning and execution of the Project’s early works progresses.
Clean TeQ submitted Modification 6 in January 2018 seeking changes to the accommodation
facility at the Project which were deemed necessary to both optimise the mine plan and improve
the amenity of the on-site workforce. The changes included the relocation of the accommodation
facility from the main mine site to an adjacent property south of the mine on a property owned by
Clean TeQ called “Sunrise” (see Figure 1).
Approval of Modification 6 will also allow Clean TeQ to use the camp for up to approximately 300
personnel during site-based campaigns such as shutdowns and maintenance. In addition, the
Modification permits an increase in the camp’s capacity from approximately 1,000 to 1,300
personnel during the construction phase.

A generous-minded poster on another site published data on CLQ that showed very large institutional activity, both buying and selling, on the Australian exchange.
The data is of minimal use to people like us, because a lot of pertinent information is not revealed by trading data.
For example. It is interesting that Deutsche Bank has bought and sold X million shares in the last month. However we do not know DB’s net position, we do not know how they hedge, we do not know their strategy or its time frame.
And with Clean Teq, we cannot even tell if Deutsche Bank is also executing on other exchanges, like the TSX and the OTC.
So the meaning of the activity is obscure, even if we have access to this information.
**
However, what this is proves beyond a doubt is that there is a very lengthy list of high-profile smart money institutions that now have a serious interest in CLQ. This is in contrast to the fact that there are still very few establishment analysts covering the company.
When DB, JPM, Oppenheimer, UBS, Citicorp et al are buying and selling millions of shares, it shows that the company has enough merit to qualify for real interest by big money. We also have the recent placement of tens of millions of shares to Fidelity.
IMO this is very strong for long-term holders. Big money is into CLQ, it has qualified for real investment by a long list of establishment capital.
But it should send a chill down your spine if you are a short-term trader, because these big guys have deep pockets, lower execution costs, faster computers, and better programs than you do, and they are going to kick your ass.
Agree! The whole thrust of this thread is based around HN and others ‘investment’ analysis…..and it aint too shabby. Gamblers beware, DB etc are far better/quicker at this game than you. Still their maneuvering does present those who wish to build an investment position with the opportunity to do so via judicious stink bids.

TSUNAMI ALERT ! EARTHQUAKE TREMORS DETECTED
IN EASTERN AUSTRALIA !
Epicenter: Parkes, New South Wales
Seriously I think there is a good chance we get BIG news tomorrow.
A month ago, we get the Suncrise project update…everything on track for
a June publication.
Then we get the Mod 6 announcement, moving and expanding the Port-a-Camp.
Then today, ASX announces CLQ will be included in the ASX 200 All Australian Index, STARTING MONDAY JUNE 18.
Then today, a few minutes after that, a nice notice that they are getting a $4.8 mil tax rebate for R&D…for water tech in the process of being commercialized (read Ionic Industries.)
What troubled me was that the Sunrise announcement will be so important that there should be a trading halt, or over a weekend.
It would be sort of awkward to start CLQ in an ASX index, then halt trading on it the very week it is in a new index. Very un-Friedland like.
So the alternative is to make the announcement at the end of next week, after close on Friday June 15…or do it TOMORROW, Friday, June 8.
June 29 would be a little too close for comfort.
Honestly I am expecting a pretty exciting three weeks. Either that, or a the biggest disappointment ever. Talk about a Binary Event. It should be a Binary Event Fest.

No news on the ongoing Easpring negotiations !
A few days ago I inquired of Clean Teq if the Easpring negotiations were still “ongoing” and if their April 27 capital raise had any relationship or impact on CLean Teq. The answer was received today:
“The negotiations with Easpring are ongoing however I have [no material] update to provide other than what has been disclosed [publicly]. [The Easpring capital raise was noted but I] but can’t comment whether this will have any impact or bearing on …negotiations with CLQ.”
Well, if the negotiations were dead, he would be able to say so.
Pretty much what I expected. He can’t really say anything.
What is he going to do, give Hendrixnuzzles a news scoop ?
But he has to be polite and answer. He was, and he did.

All good, two big VRB projects in the hopper awaiting government approval; also he indicated that vanadium is 40% of the cost on VRBs, and there is price pressure since vanadium has tripled in cost. Nothing on the Chinese vanadium prospects, though.
Thanks for the video link, good to hear confirmation regarding the Pu Neng vanadium story moving forward.

The recent post from Cleveland reminded me of conversations we had earlier about the intentions and motives of miners and the folks who promote them.
For those of you who did not read those conversations, Cleveland had some really bad experiences in mining stocks, despite having access to high-level people in the business, including company principals. He is accordingly very skeptical of early stage mining projects and the people who promote them, with good reason.
I bring this up because of one particular high-profile mining celebrity, and his conspicuous absence in promoting and discussing CLQ.
A skeptical outlook might be applied with benefit in noticing this.
That individual is Rick Rule, of Sprott. Rick Rule, as most people know, is a very prominent and knowledgeable investor and promoter. I have learned a lot listening to Rick Rule; he is smart, entertaining, and worth listening to, although I am sure some find him a little pompous. But I enjoy him.
His picks cannot taken at face value, because his business is not newsletters, it is mostly private investing, and he is not going to give too much information away unless you are paying for it.
What I am driving at is this. Rick Rule is a big, big fan of Robert Friedland and has been for many years. So the silence of Rick Rule concerning Clean Teq is quite noticeable.
Once could conclude that he doesn’t think CLQ is a good investment. But I do not believe this. I believe Rick Rule is accumulating CLQ, and is not mentioning it publicly because he does not want price competition while he accumulates.
This is obviously just a speculation on very thin circumstantial evidence. It may just be that the new technology makes him nervous.
But I find it very odd that I have not heard him mention CLQ in the interviews I have listened to. After all, he named Ivanhoe Mines as his top potential gainer…provided one can stand the political risk.
Mr. Rule takes a lot of risks. His silence about Clean Teq is a giveaway for me.

Episode 003: Rick Rule And His Path From A Bar Bouncer To A Resource Speculator
mgx on work to get vanadium and other minerals from petcoke.
Hi AFM.
This is a repeat but since you may be a relatively new reader, I thought I would mention it again.
In The Big Score, a book about RF and the Voisey’s Bay project, the attempt of Norman Keevil of Teck Resources to .get into the Voisey’s Bay project was described.
Keevil and Teck did not land the prize, but I was very impressed with Keevil and his approach. He is sharp, very shrewd, and practical.
And I also know from this, that Keevil had a sharp eye on Friedland.
My speculation is that Keevil watches Friedland even closer than I do, and took his
concept for CLQ and applied it as it relates to his own set of resources and Teck’s capabilities: He and Teck seem to have instrumental in the creation of MGX, which looks like a miner but is a controlled technology company relying on nanotechnology and molecular chemistry, looking for opportunities in the energy business. And like CLQ, MGX targets have the potential for government R&D and tax support, and attack large environmental probles associated with older technology.
MGX also is very interesting to me on account of the specific targets, which do not interest me as independent commodities for various reasons; but with the MGX technology, I have a good entree into those materials and a way to invest in them that I find attractive.
I also find it interesting that MGX and CLQ sort of stay away from each other in terms of targets.
Teck on its own I find attractive on account of management, but as I am not enamored of big caps until bull markets are imminent or underway, I have remained on the sidelines.

I went over to HC to get tickers and different points of view.
I’ve gotten some benefit, but not a lot; it has tended to reinforce my point of view, since no one has seriously dented the bull case of stocks I like, or given information that changes my fundamental outlook.
On CLQ, I was sort of surprised that there was not a lot of deeper understanding by most of the posters; after all, it is a company with an Australian domicile. One guy posted a photo of the Lachlanshire street sign for “Sunrise lane”. There is a lot of mining, geology, and operational experience by a number of posters, which you do not get too much of over here.
One thing I like here at SG is that Travis gives a lot of moderating and edit power to the thread authors. Travis still has over-arching authority, but an author has some discretion and authority over his thread. I am much more able to do as I like here, without irrelevant complaints by people about the style or frequency of my posts.
So I am better able to influence the thread and can even block detrimental posters. I tried this on HC but even on threads I started, people could complain about me even though I started the thread and did not do anything reprehensible.
I would rather have fewer contributors and a friendly and constructive atmosphere, like we have here. Sometimes a big audience is not really helpful to anything but our egos.
Each time after the second I have been
warned that the next one will result in a permanent ban.
Sounds just like ceo.com, who have the same policy, which is why I was banned from there with many others and now belong to another private closed board of like minded people. On this new board ceo is refered to as NK.

Graphene…background & overview from Ionic Industries
http://www.ionicindustries.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Ionic-Industries-NMW.pdf
Ionic is private. Presentation shows why graphene is a tech play and not a commodity play.
Impressive, what was CLQ’s % deal with Ionic if it goes through as I assume it’s looking that way?
#Possible #JV They’ve been research and developing now applying #CLQ technology with Monash? University in Melbourne 4 years
Hopeful, obviously; but no deal announced yet.
Ionic was to deliver new samples and meterials for testing, once they did that CLQ has an option to activate a JV depending on the results of the tests. Time frame this year.
My guess is that the new stuff will make a difference in big projects in India and China. Because new tech is involved and the clients and projects are very large, the time frames will be quite long; and there is no way to tell what the revenue streams to Ionic will be.
But I figured, what the heck, at four cents a share on the PP and a tiny market cap, I’ll take a shot. Took a while to actually buy the stock since I had to get an Aussie brokerage house to take me.
Will keep you all informed but it is likely that the critical announcements
will come from CLQ as they occur, those being the JV and any contract news from The Teeming Orient. Eventually we wild-eyed speculators would be thinking about an IPO of some sort on Ionic.
75% CLQ/ 25% Ionic, if the JV comes to pass
Thanks hn, seems good for CLQ, yet another potential string to their bow assuming it goes ahead, which I think it will do. Having universities on side is a smart move long term. As you said they are tech, which I see CLQ as as well really as well as a miner for their longer future.
The research connections give a lot of value that is hard to figure out. The realization of that value can take years to materialize. But it is real and continuing.
For example, any new graphene technology will be added to Clean Teq’s capabilities after it is tested.
I suppose there is a trade-off in waiting for new stuff…I can imagine a situation where a few months may be needed for an application to be proved that would give a big advantage in a pending contract under negotiations.
But the key is that CLQ has a vertical chain of distribution that can capitalize on new upstream tech developments by its research partners. They have the track for implementation, starting from the research, to the materials needed, all the way to the customers
and financing of specific projects.
This is a very powerful structural advantage for implementation and profit from new developments in technology.
Have a look at ENX. That is the stock I expect Ionic to backdoor list via.
this is another tid-bit about Graphite and Graphene, from LLG.V: (Mason Graphite)
http://www.masongraphite.com/investors/about-graphite/default.aspx
Graphite must be customized for the customer and it occurs naturally in three forms.
In a simple example, Graphene is a single layer of atoms v Graphite’s thousands of layers…….https://www.graphenea.com/pages/graphene-graphite#.Wxwade4vyM8
edski…obviously there is big difference in graphite and graphene.
My opinions:
GRAPHENE is a technology investment, not a commodity. So the evaluations of a graphene-related stock will have a lot of variables in it that are much different than those one wold consider in a mining speculation.
The trouble is that big potential tech users, like Lockheed or whomever, are so diversified that they have a lot of other things that will affect them more than take-up of graphene in certain applications. Or, we are faced with a universe of smaller tech companis, with great uncertainty in the
success of the technology and its adaptation.
GRAPHITE is a commodity but is one which has a pretty small volume base and is a whole ‘nother animal. So I do not like it as a stand-alone commodity target. That is just a personal preference, it is not a judgement or an opinion on any mining prospect or graphite investments one might be interested in. They might do great, it is just not a commodity that
generates a lot of interest for me.
In graphene, I have one very far-out tech speculation (Ionic) which already has a clear path for commercialization should their new stuff be successful. Clean Teq Water will be on the business end of things, so I can see the path to success… whether or not it is actualized being altogether another story. Versarien is a ticker I want to investigate, thanks to the generous person that posted on it, (Shavian, I believe.
In graphite, I have only one indirect position: Sama Resources, with their chunky 40% position in SRG.
Sama has other material targets besides graphite, so
even here, the graphite is a major factor, but the position is not a pure graphite position.
I don’t think that Ionic is really a “far-out” tech speculation at all! And yes, I agree it is definitely a Technology investment.
I’m pulling for your investment big time. Way better than my back door attempt by buying SER:AU…. (it’s a money thing)
Ionic – Interested in 1/4 to 1/2 of minimum.
Best
Ha ha. You make me feel that I am among friends.
It’s a good thing I can discuss a research company with a razor-thin cap, no sales, and no public market for its securities with you guys and not get ridiculed.
My ex-wife would have been screaming bloody murder, and likely would have filed for divorce on account of it, instead of for the other reasons she had, which depending on your viewpoint could have either less or more justification than the making of an investment mistake.
Marriage is always an investment mistake….for one partner or other. 🙂
The kids came of it, so regrets are impossible as well as useless.
Hey I got word this week, I am to be a grandfather !
Congratulations!! Spoil them and then return them. There is this saying ‘ that if I knew grandchildren were this much fun, I would have had them first…
My Mom used to say that all the time. I have 5 sisters, so she had a lot of grandkids. We were military, so my kids weren’t there at Mom’s that much, but the sisters’ kids were.
hahahaha…
Sarah, how is that incredibly intelligent son of yours….(chip off the ol block), forgotten when and where but remember how proud you were of his scholarly accomplishments…..he hit a big time scholarship ?? Catch us up, plz.
Ah Tom ! He’s good. Oxford and Cambridge wont play second fiddle to each other so you can only apply to one or other. He chose Oxford and was invited to apply for an interview (which is hard to get). Maudlin college is the very best so, thinking the competition would be too tough, he (and 27 others) decided to be clever and apply for one of the lesser Oxford colleges. Mistake….bad mistake. It turned out that the 28 guys applied for just 6 places. He didnt get one. However, only 4 people applied for Maudlin……all 4 got in !! As it happens he was quite pleased as he says Oxford is very stuffy. But he got into Warwick which, for his PPE subject (philosophy, politics and economics…..most UK Prime Ministers studied this), is probably the best in the country (but his dad wanted him to have the Oxford brand 🙁 ). He’s just done his 2nd year exams and got a glowing letter from the principal saying he’s on course for a 1st. He’s also got a summer internship with Barclays Bank paying the equiv of £60k pa so he’s heading for Columbia on his profits.
Go Tommy !
Thanks for remembering.
A….opps…
Sarah x
Questions:
Staying on course for a 1st?
Columbia , the country…been there myself, fabulous! He shud bring back some great stories.
Profits, doesn’t he have to work the summer first?
Congrats, sounds like he is on his way to success!!
Such a blessing, well done Sarah.
Lulu
British uni degrees come in 4 flavours: a 3rd = you had a great 3yrs down the pub but actually managed to find the exam room and spell your name correctly on the final paper, so your ‘failure’ is completely acceptable….2/2 = you tried hard but you’re basically thick (its the worst result you can get). 2/1 = a blinking good effort, but dont bother going for the doctorate….a 1st means you nailed it.
Columbia: My ex was Colombian from a rich farming family, till the Farc rebels (coke dealers) made her dad a suitcase full of cash offer he couldn’t refuse. She still has house on a mountain/Volcano that has a lake in its cup. Dad got his workers to haul a biggish yacht up there. I hope Tom will intro himself now the Farc are gone. Yes he does have to work most of the summer but it leaves enough time to go walkabout. The problem is he now thinks he knows it all so keeps telling me I dont know what Im talking about. He’ll wake up/grow up one day I s’pose.
Sorry, but if you’ve been there yourself you should know it’s written ColOmbia 😉 My favourite country, and starting going there in 2010.
Ive never been there…but I got your spelling bee right at second attempt.
Well, I have been there twice…My first time was in 2007. I did not see it spelled that way; but it’s is certainly spoken that way…. I would love to spend a few weeks at San Andreas….Bucket list.
HN graphene will be massive, the biggest restriction at present is creating workable solutions for the various applications.
Not all graphene is equal, the higher purity of graphene the better.
Nice link. I assume it was sent to that special group of investors, huh?
Man, I hope you get that Grand Slam with this. Congrats.
MGX…$MGXMF…LOOKING FOR ANOTHER SPEC TO BITE INTO
Thanks to newcomer Alex, Shavian, Ben and others. A while back I went long on MGX, sorry I can’t remember who gets the credit for introducing it. One of you nice people out there. (Will the original poster please step forward and take a bow ?)
I liked the fact that MGX was mostly a tech company, involved in environmental remediation, and applying itself to minerals I liked but had no position in: lithium, magnesium, and silicon. It reminded me of Clean Teq, but in an old run-down neighborhood: the oil and gas industry.
As is often the case, my entry price was terrible, and the recent action sent my position into deep red, but I have not been too perturbed since my position size was reasonable; in fact, I added a little.
MGX has not been front-of-mind for me; it was a long-term speculation; but a few bubbles of news percolated into my consciousness on it, notably the spin-off of ZincNyx, and some project news here and there. And recently, AFM has made some enthusiastic posts. Anyway, I had a general understanding of their business concept and strategy, but did not have a really deep understanding of their business and prospects.
So I thought it might be worthwhile to get a little more “into” MGX. There are only so many times I can re-read Clean Teq news announcements before the Law of Diminishing Returns sets in. And besides, when and if the Clean Teq rocket ship ignites and achieves lift-off, we will want another micro-cap with a great future
to build unreasonable positions in.
*****
My due diligence is mostly reading through the website and the news announcements. Nothing any of you cannot do, and likely have done, if you are in the stock. So here are my observations and summary.
For those of you who are impatient and want to get to the punchline, I am liking MGX considerably more. Although I do not have total conviction like I do with
Clean Teq, I believe MGX is worth a position and a close watch, and could wind up being a very profitable investment with great long-term potential. It is the kind of company that invites a reasonable start in your speculative portfolio, and that could emerge as a rock-solid big gainer. The kind of speculation we are looking for.
****
STOCK…TSX, 100 million shares with another 40 or 50 mil that could be issued.
The SP has been down but is rebounding towards $1.00.
BOARD AND MANAGEMENT…I am not familiar with the key people but the mix of backgrounds is quite unusual . A lot of people with deep high-level backgounds
in oil and gas, logistics, high-level O&G operations, science. Peculiar for a spec miner but you will see why it makes sense. The leader, Jared Lazerson, has a degree in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. Since DJT and
Hendrixnuzzles both have affiliations with thataugust institution, we can’t hold it against him too much; though I am very pissed off at the U of Penn, and will not give any more money to them.
STRATEGY…MGX has a diverse strategy but the pieces are easy to understand and
have potential that can be understood even by old stupid guys like me.
First they have mining projects in lithium brine, silicon, and magnesium. This is why they look like a spec miner. They have projects which will go through the normal PFS process to establish viability.
Second, They also have a large number of oilfield project rights, which have the potential to provide “ore” for lithium and other minerals, from the processing of oil & gas waste streams and ground water. They process the waste streams to get their lithium, “petrolithium”). Ring a bell?
This means that processed, fit-for-use WATER is one of their products…even if it just for return to the water table.
Third, they recently acquired ZincNyx, a flow battery company; then promptly decided to spin it off. Not sure what their retained interest will be, but the zinc chemistry is a proven, it is a low-cost grid storage solution that should have traction. We like this.
OUTLOOK. If you look at their project map, you will see a couple dozen oilfields.
With a mature O&G industry being squeezed by the electric vehicle boom, obtaining rights to new sources of petrolitium will be very easy and low cost. There are zillions of old oilfields and petro installations, and lots of environmental messes that people will even pay you to clean up. Hence the acquisition of sources will not take a lot of capital, unlike conventional mining projects.
On top of this, the provincial and national governments of Canada have desire to clean up a lot of the old petro sites, which evidently have fouled a lot of acreage water; and they want to clean it up.
The mining projects in silicon, lithium brine, and magnesium can be evaluated like
any other mining project; the targets, grades and geology are different from what we are used to, and I have not pulled them apart; but at first blush, they look like they have potential.
EXECUTION. Here is where MGX makes one take notice. These guys are not fooling around, they move very quickly. The news releases have ACTION:
A zinc grid system getting installed in New York City. Commercial installs happening in the petrolitium technology. Going after lithium brine in Chile.
Take a look.
SUMMARY. MGX fills a few interesting niches in a way I find very attractive.
They are using technology to solve water problems in industrial processing, while extracting value from the waste. This reminds one of CLQ, although the potential targets are much more limited at MGX. On the other hand, the possible supply
of sources is already at hand on MGX targets, and the demand uptake of MGX systems and installations has no practical upper limit in view for the short and medium term future.
Likewise the entry to grid storage is reminiscent of CLQ; the zinc chemistry battery chemistry has great upside, as does the vanadium redox; the advantage of zinc being that it is much more plentiful and inexpensive, compared to vanadium.
I think it is safe to say that both technologies aare proven at this point, though neither have any market share to speak of.
N.B.: The retained interest of MGX in the spin-off ZincNyx needs to be investigated. In prior posts I have expressed the reservation that I think the spin-off may be a little early in terms of realizing value; we’ll see what happens.
MGX seems to a company worth watching. They won an industry award this month, so their industry peers are watching also.
Long MGX.
Don’t know if I helped, but my first buy was Jan.25 at 1.42
Last was May 10 at .67 I found out about them by research into Batteries and may have posted there.
I own five stocks in the mining area. Other than MGX, there is this little company no one knows about, CLQ. The others are Ardea ARRRF, Cellcube Energy STNUF, and Largo LGORF.
That is it for the miners. Oh, I sold my small position in VRB this week. I had a hard time finding any information even regarding their partners sales, so I hoisted anchor. Lost 30%, but applied it to a going concern.
$MGXMF wow! > 😉

The Company reminds shareholders it has determined June 29, 2018 as the Record Date (the “Record Date”) for the proposed distribution of the payment of a dividend in kind of common shares in the capital of its wholly owned subsidiary, ZincNyx Energy Solutions Inc. (“ZincNyx”). The Company expects to issue dividend shares totaling 25%-40% of its holdings in ZincNyx to MGX Shareholders of Record, pending final audit and pricing of shares. The declaration and payment of any such dividend (the “Proposed Distribution”) and the amount thereof will be determined at the discretion of the Company’s board of directors and will remain subject to, among other things, satisfaction by the Company of all statutory obligations under the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia). The Proposed Distribution also remains subject to applicable approvals and regulatory compliance in all respects. For more information on the ZincNyx dividend, see the Company’s news release dated April 30, 2018…. #BestAlwayz!

🙂 Fascinating 🙂 Peace! 🙂
Love NVDA I should branch out and get some.
GOOG also…but it’s like supporting Bug Brother. I’m conflicted.
Typo…Big Brother
I lost a post while typing so the following may be a duplicate.
The retention of 60-75% of Zincnyx is really great. This means you are getting a ground floor opportunity in areal live zinc-air battery resource
by taking a position in MGX.
It will also give an independent underpinning to MGX stock, because valuation of the spin-off entity will be public. My questions about the merit of the deal are put to rest, although now we obviously would prefer that the retained interest of MGX in ZincNyx be on the higher side rather than the lower.
Again this is like RF’s strategy. He doen’t float stock or dilute just to raise money. He sells large but minority interests to gain strategic partners, to raise capital for specific high value added projects, and to provide an independent method of realizing value.
And the interest in a grid storage battery company is also striking…
RF in vanadium redox, MGX in zinc-air. Both are up-and-coming chemistries with proven technology and operating installations.
With RF’s vanadium redox interest, VRB Energy/Pu Neng, we do not have a clear-cut avenue to participate, only an indirect speculation with baggage in Sparton, or a faith that CLQ will land a vanadium sourcing deal. But with MGX we are getting a tangible, direct interest with stock in the spin-off.
My sentiment in MGX is strengthening rapidly towards conviction.
An increase in my position prior to June 29 takes on some urgency.
> “The Company expects to issue dividend shares totaling 25%-40% of its holdings in ZincNyx to MGX Shareholders of Record”
But will this include shareholders of the OTC: $MGXMF?
Offhand I would say yes but it bears checking to be sure.
Thanks, Alan. I have sent an inquiry to MGX and will advise.

$MGXMF HN, I started to write a post on Lithium Brine miners October of last year don’t remember when I posted it. About the same time Cowboy picked up on $STNUF and $MGXMF. This article had stirred my interest hi-tech mining.

I’ve been curious about that inquiry from Australia about MGX technology. MGX is also building portable systems.

It’s called sovereign risk, or in other words, you find, you invest and we will take. Stick to Australia… https://twitter.com/DetectorMods/status/1005637064887492608
My attitude is that whatever the law is, Ivanhoe will be able to deal with it better than anyone else, because their profit margins are going to be the best.
