Travis, are you still at $377 for a buy? I'm adhering to that, so I haven't bought in yet.

$377 is still my preferred buy level, but it hasn't hit my preferred level very often over the years. My "max buy" is currently $463, which is my latest estimate of intrinsic value per share.

Hi Travis thanks for this week letter - I have bought Dino at the Warsaw Stock Exchange through IBKR however I see DNOPY is at 41.00 as of 30 Aug (I have used Yahoo Finance to find DNOPY but other sources show this too). The price you typed I suppose is from Warsaw stock exchange. Is that correct ? Any idea why DNOPY has not taken value of DNP.WA and dividing with exchange rate? I pay usually 1 USD for any trade in US but around 4 USD for any trade in Europe . Long term this should not impact the return (unless buying very regularly).

The DNOPY ADR represents half of a share on the Warsaw exchange.

Travis any speculation why WB is now big seller for Apple and BofA? This is not his style.

Succession planning (make the portfolio easier for next CEO), likelihood of higher taxes, high concentration, or just a richly valued market Sparking him to remember his regret that he didn't sell some KO shares when it was trading at 50x earnings a couple decades ago. Take your pick.

Travis.I really enjoy your objective commentary. Do you have a set formula on selling a position or part of one that has gained a certain percentage? I am in a quandary about "letting your winners run" versus "taking something off the table " for a stock to continues to grow. Please advise. Thx. Arjaylvh

Not really, I handle situations on a case by case basis... there are some companies that I primarily own because I see a shorter-term opportunity to make a profit, and I might own that stock for just a few years (or even just a few months, in rare situations). But I have an open-ended goal with most of my positions, and go into them thinking that I might be able to let that position compound for a decade or more if the company turns out to be as good as I think it is.When valuations get extreme, my general strategy is to hold on and let my winners run unless they either reach a point where it's genuinely worrisome (more than 10% or so of my portfolio, if it's a very volatile stock), or the valuation reaches such a ridiculous extreme that it's at least 50% or so above the highest price I'd consider paying to buy the shares, and I can't see any reasonable probability of the company "growing into" that valuation. In both cases, my inclination is to take partial profits, usually up to about 20-30% of the position.

Travis,Just my opinion but I think you are being a little hard on Sky Quarry.I know from company updates and webinars they are planning on going public on an American exchange at or around the end of September of this year. Management has also stated they plan to set an IPO price of $6.00. That is a nice jump for anybody that has already invested. Having publically stated that I think it would invite trouble if they didn’t follow through.I believe they have retained a company called Colonial to handle share transfers to investor accounts and to work with people exercising their warrants.Revenue will come from β€œtipping fees” for taking used asphalt shingles and keeping them out of the landfill. When the shingles are broke down there will be sand/ gravel, some fibreglass, possibly bitumen to make new shingles and clean green oil or possibly diesel and aviation fuel products. These are all revenue streams. Now obviously I can’t guarantee any of this but I was confident enough in the plan (not Teeka Tiwari) to send in my money. I guess I’ll be laughing or crying later this fall.Company presentations state they currently have about 7,000 investors and are trying to get to about 10,000. I’m hoping it all works out. They also state they have companies looking to purchase their product because it will generate carbon credits. Not really up to speed on that. Thanks,Andy

A possibly interesting article about Ingles Markets IMKTA that "apparently owns 3,700 acres rather than the 160 acres disclosed in its reporting to shareholders – that's 21x a land reserve than Wall Street had been aware of so far!". The stock is currently trading at 0.61x book value, which is 52.3% lower than the company's historical average" https://www.undervalued-shares.com/weekly-dispatches/ingles-markets-land-reserves-understated-by-21x/
