What happened to SEASON 2 of PM’s 100x? I’m a new investor and read the thread regularly. Not necessarily for the rec’s but for the advice of the regular contributors. Is there anyplace we might continue the discussion?

Is anyone familiar with this new pitch from Jim Rickards? He says it is a new way to make money that does not involve forex or stock trading!

Hello. Kris Sayce here, Publisher of Legacy Research. I’m writing to you with difficult news… Our company recently parted ways with Teeka Tiwari. In this letter, I’ll explain why this happened and how we plan to take good care of you as a valued subscriber. First, the news that’s bound to shock you – Teeka’s […]
Does anyone know his new pick ?
Premium Income Alert newsletter by Bill Poulos says “Pot Stocks 2.0” is the best way to invest in these stocks including one that is currently 0.34 Anyone have any ideas which stocks are about to take off very soon?
Well, Louis Navellier is nothing if not consistent — his ads always promise that a stock with recent huge earnings surprises is going to repeat, grow, and continue to delight investors. That’s the joy of being a trend follower — when you get it right. Of course, when you get it wrong with these fast-growth […]
Today’s teaser ad is for a stock in a sector that many Gumshoe readers are interested in: Water. The logic, after all, is always impeccable for water-related stocks: There will never be a substitute for water, there are few living things that can survive without it, and the global population is not getting any smaller. […]
Today we’ve got a quickie for you — this one’s form Robert Hsu for his China Strategy newsletter — the second most popular China-focused letter according to Stock Gumshoe readers (after the Cabot China letter). Times are good again for China investors, thanks to a persistent belief that the stimulus in that country will turn […]
Eric Roseman is at it again, it appears — a few months ago I wrote about an ad of his that was based on some very sketchy assumptions, an ad that promised you could buy gold for a $600/ounce discount. There was a little truth to it, of course, but not $600 worth … and […]
Timothy Lutts doesn’t often send out really over-the-top out teaser ads, so I don’t often write about the various newsletters from Cabot — I do hear about them from time to time, and readers have reviewed a few of the services, but they haven’t yet bombarded us with “super hype” as so many other publishers […]
Healthcare-focused newsletter, recommended stocks primarily of emerging device and biotech companies. Was helmed by Marc Lichtenfeld, who moved on to other publications, but stopped publishing after a short while — Lightning Trend Trader, a current publication of Lichtenfeld’s with The Oxford Club, sometimes covers biotech stocks.
Quite a number of you have sent notes to me about these, um, notes lately — if you’re on many of the newsletter or financial mailing lists you’ve probably seen them, too. This is a teaser that promises … “Buy this investment today and “lock in” a minimum gain of 244% (It could possibly even […]
Eric Roseman of the Sovereign Society has been blanketing the web with a teaser about a “different way to own gold” — one that he says might give you a discount of as much as $600 an ounce. Here’s what he says … “Recently, I’ve been researching different ways to own gold – and two months ago — I came across a little-known form of the yellow metal. The shocking thing is, it has outperformed “normal” gold investments by a factor of 10… or more!”
Many of the delightful readers of Gumshoe Nation have sent in this ad, for the True Income service from Stansberry & Associates. As with so many ads these days, it teases us that, (if we’ll just subscribe and follow their advice), we can make tremendous profits with lower risk. Here’s how it opens: “Can “Mega-Bond” […]
Identifies investment opportunities in “emerging trends.” Newsletter has closed.
This is the main investment ideas newsletter from the Oxford Club, published twice per month.
Launched by the Gardner brothers, with one stock pick from each per issue, but now Tom and David Gardner have largely stepped back from stock picking and the picks are made by “Rule Breaker” and “Everlasting Stock” teams.
“This Google Partner is just one of the 18%+ high-yield trusts you can snap up now.” This ad comes in from Roger Conrad for his Canadian Edge newsletter, one of several from the great KCI marketing machine that, like almost every other major financial newsletter publisher, is headquartered a stone’s throw from the stunningly opulent […]
Paul Tracy runs the StreetAuthority Market Advisor newsletter, and he has an ad out now about investing only in stocks that have a “driving force” behind them.
He doesn’t mean any technical indicators, or fundamental financial forces, he means catalysts. Catalysts are, of course, the great holy grail of “story” investing — when you buy most biotech stocks, for example, you’re looking for a “catalyst” to drive the shares higher in the form of an FDA approval or a buyout. You’ll hear pundits like Jim Cramer talk about catalysts all the time, too — there are a lot of folks who might be excited about a stock’s valuation or prospects, but are unwilling to buy it if they don’t see an event in the near future that should move the stock abruptly higher (or lower, one must add).
So what are the “catalyst” stocks that Tracy thinks you should look at now?
The last time I looked in detail at some picks from the Motley Fool Income Investor, it was for their top “Peak Oil Picks,” all of which were at least interesting companies even if they’re all down by 10% or so following the decline in oil prices. (The latest version of that writeup is here, […]
This one has drummed up a fair amount of interest from the mighty horde of Gumshoe readers, I’ve been seeing it for a couple weeks now and it appears to still be actively pushed as I type. So … you might like to know the names of these three cloud computing giants, no? Read on […]
This is a little unusual, because typically I let investments percolate for a while before deciding whether or not they make sense. But today, I think the best idea for investing is one I wrote about just this week at StockGumshoe.com — Hanfeng Evergreen. In case you’re wondering about that title, Han is the ethnicity […]

Andrew Mickey runs Breakaway Investor and has a new service he’s selling now called Fear and Greed, and he must keep some solid copywriters on the speed dial because we’ve had any number of his teasers get our blood rushing over the past year. This one’s for a “secret market”, which is a technique he […]
StreetAuthority is calling a recent buy of Warren Buffett’s “The little stock that could make you rich” — it’s apparently a retailer that Buffett “recently” bought, to the tune of 14 million shares (I’m afraid I can’t sing along at that volume, but I do always like to know what Buffett’s buying). The wise and […]
